December 31, 1969 marked the debut live performance of the BAND OF GYPSYS featuring Jimi Hendrix, Billy Cox and Buddy Miles. While the birth of this journey started on April 22 at a recording session at Record Plant, fast-forward 8 months later and this trio had perfected their own unique sound. On September 25, 1969 Jimi Hendrix was joined by Buddy Miles at the Record Plant where they recorded this stunning take of "Room Full Of Mirrors," a song he had revisited several times extending to sessions in August 1968. This new take on an old theme, although unrehearsed, featured a faster pace, punchier drums and a short burst of "Message To Love" in the mix for good measure.
