Aja'ib al-Makhluqat wa Ghara'ib al-Mawjudat meaning The Wonders of Creatures and the Marvels of Creation is an important 13th century work of cosmography by the Iranian scholar Zakariya al-Qazwini. Various chapters of the book, describe the things that exist in the heavens, including the angels, planets and the constellations, as well as things that exist on earth from its landforms and seas, to animals, plants and insects. Originally written in Arabic, the work was first translated into Persian
