For the past year and a half, I’ve been using something incredibly simple for hidradenitis suppurativa: gel antiperspirant. Not a biologic, not antibiotics, not surgery. Just an inexpensive, over-the-counter option that has completely changed how I manage HS in clinic. I published on it, presented it, discussed it with colleagues, and shared it here.
