At just 20 years old, he joined the Sons of Hawai‘i in 1973, already recognized as a rising slack key talent. With Eddie Kamae now leading the band solo, he was searching for someone who could carry the spirit and sound of the Sons—and Dennis stepped into some legendary shoes. He reflects on the challenge of fo
