Wells Cathedral. Coming down from the Mendip hills this morning the Somerset Levels below were shrouded in mist. Arriving in Wells we discovered the usual Saturday market wasn't taking place so we made a quick visit to the cathedral to light candles then headed to The Swan Hotel for warming hot chocolate, with a view of the cathedral.

Unmistakable. A victory in our indoor bowls pairs league match this afternoon; always a nervy one after the Christmas and New Year break. Mrs K had walked Millie pups by the time I got home and it was getting dark after a late lunch so an emergency blip today.

I am a mum to 3 children. My nearly 5yr old has asd. He was diagnosed autistic last year. We wanted a diagnosis before he starts school. He's very quite clever , and kind, can be a great big brother to his siblings, but can also be hard work at times.

Retired. This journal is about just that - being retired. Having worked for 28 years solid it's a bit of a change; and it's coincided with the kids being pretty much off my hands.

Opening statement 2010 I have retired from work and like to spend my time walking in the stunning countryside of Northumberland. I'm a keen amateur photographer, attending a class and hoping to improve my skills.

First journal I've ever been able to do more than a week. Love taking photos! Love seeing other parts of the world this way and making friends there.
