Texting is a pretty straight forward process. Once enabled on both devices you press the menu key and choose the option to sync between devices.

May 2, 2020 · It's my favorite feature of the tablet/phone combo. I do wish there was a mechanism to assign a phone to a selected tablet. My hubby and I both have phones and tablets under my Samsung account, but Samaung only allows one phone number to be associated with the other devices on the account. So his tablet only gets my phone calls and messages.

Dec 5, 2012 · When I tried to use Google Talk app to message a cell phone, it wouldn't accept the number. If I use Google Chat on the website, I can message a cell phone. (for what it's worth, I'm testing apps on my samsung fascinate, the Nexus 7's are still in the boxes waiting for Christmas).

Dec 29, 2012 · Yeah and for me it has to have cell connection. Even though wifi is common, a portable device without cell connection doesn't make sense to me. So even if a better 7" comes out in the next couple of months, if it doesn't have cell and I need to wait two more months, then that is a decent amount of time.

Device won't recharge after being abandoned for a few months
Dec 6, 2016 · One of those that has plagued many (according to a variety of forum posts), is a charging issue with the Nexus 7. As users leave their tablet idle for an extended period of time or use it for hours until the battery runs completely dry, the device is having a hell of a time charging back up again or even turning on.
