3D Printing 3D upgrades for Estes Saturn V Skylab - Rocketry Forum
Nov 8, 2019 · I designed and printed 3D parts for some vintage Estes scale models; parts I couldn't find elsewhere. I'm preparing to build the Estes Saturn V Skylab. Since this is a newer model, I'm seeing some available parts...
Estes Skylab Saturn V kit: observations - Rocketry Forum
May 7, 2017 · Opened the box to check off all the parts and read the instructions. The motor is recessed over 3" into the body tube. Why? Wild guess: to move the CG forward somewhat, perhaps? If it was even with the aft end of the BT they'd have to add even more nose weight for stability. The box says an...
Saturn V Build thread / ESTES Customer Service is AWESOME
Aug 14, 2022 · The BT58 tube for the service module is a hard tube to get and wasn't available on Estes (yes I know it's available elsewhere), and I still needed the styrene engine shrouds. And finally, I really wanted to upgrade this to a 29mm motor mount like the Saturn V/Skylab model has but the #2157 only ever came with a 24mm mount.
Estes Saturn V, Quintuple Cluster, Staged - Rocketry Forum
Oct 7, 2021 · I have an extra Estes Saturn V Skylab (main body tube is a bit squished), but the Skylab vs Apollo doesn't much matter here. What I want to do, because I can (try), is modify it to be a cluster of 5 (probably 18mm), gap cluster them to a second stage with another 5 (also probably 18mm), and stage that to 1 motor in the 3rd stage.

Oct 11, 2017 · I darted my Saturn V yesterday and would like to make it in to a nonflying rocket with a Skylab top. The main tube and upper stages just have too much structural damage to try to make it flyable. I've searched the innerweb and can find an bunch of posts, some all the way back to 2004 talking about people turning them for folks, and Sandman's ...

Estes Saturn V 1967 w/ Quest Engines? - Rocketry Forum
Nov 15, 2024 · Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has built the Estes Saturn V 1967 and used it w Quest Engines? I'd like to get above the 350 max feet altitude they specify and am hoping Quest Engines may do that since they're more powerful. Thanks!
Masking tape glue | Rocketry Forum - Model Rocketry Forums
Nov 8, 2019 · Hello! I'm building the Estes Saturn V Skylab. I primed, painted the silver, taped, painted the black, taped, and painted the white. I left the rocket in my garage on a hot day, so when I removed the masking tape, it left glue on the black. It doesn't look bad, but still, I would like to get it off without having to repaint.
Estes #7251 1/100 Saturn 1B first look - Rocketry Forum
Mar 26, 2019 · The rocket out of the box represents Saturn 1B SA-206, which flew on mission Skylab 2 (Conrad, Kerwin, Weitz). The decal sheet though except for the 206 number can be used to build a booster with the black fuel tanks (such as Apollo 7) in a photo below, I show an image of the decal sheet (left) next a sheet from the 1994 issue (right).
