The flavor packs very from brand to brand. I suspect that the flavor pack used for Kirkland is more similar to the flavors you associate with freshly squeezed orange juice.

Recently on a whim I bought the non refrigerated, not from concentrate apple juice near the pallets of other drinks and omg, ive been missing out for two years. Again, probably the best apple juice I've had in a very long time.

Most of the time it either has the slight tang like its starting to go bad (which isn't too unbearable and we go through and entire bottle between the family in a day so it's gone before it goes bad.
