May 6, 2008 · The picture posted on Craigs List above are not my speakers, I will post them and put some pictures up, but they are definitely Bose 800 Professional Series Speaker System, has serial numbers posted on the back and the cases you see are actually part of the speakers themselves and no they dont need an EQ if you dont want to use one.

Apr 27, 2016 · Reason for this is that the 2 subs handle the very deep bass notes and the Bose modules do a great job of handling the mid bass/upper low bass right up to about 300hz. This means that, while the 2 subs start at 20hz, the Bose subs complete the 35-300hz range and then of course my 9 speakers take care of the upper mids, right up to 20khz+

Sep 20, 2004 · In addition to the thread that Tex-amp linked, there are numerous threads here discussing alternatives to the Bose cubes. Do a search for bose and sift through the threads. Many, many options, all better than trying to jerry-rig a Bose cube into a decent system.

Apr 3, 2010 · With that said, ensure you are comparing apples to apples, i.e. the 5.25" PSB speaker is not 1/4" greater than the Bose, but 3 1/4" greater than the 2" Bose speaker--a very significant difference! Likewise, for the subwoofer, the comparison is the 10" Dayton compared to the 5" Bose (also a very significant 5" difference).

Nov 8, 2020 · I was gifted some Bose 901 Series V speakers and the accompanying equalizer. As some of you may know, these speakers require the Bose equalizer to sound "right." The wiring diagram indicates that you need a receiver that has a tape monitoring loop. Unfortunately, my receiver (Sony STR-DH190) does not have that.
