Justin Timberlake announced on July 31, that he is one of the estimated 476,000 people that are diagnosed with and treated for Lyme disease each year, an illness often transmitted through tick bites that Timberlake called "relentlessly debilitating."

“I’ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease,” Timberlake wrote. “If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has,” he added, “then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.”
