Somebody goofed — and now AMD’s unannounced Ryzen 9000X3D desktop processors have been partially revealed. But like Intel’s new Arrow Lake desktop CPUs, it doesn’t look like they’ll be a huge performance improvement on their predecessors.

Could the Ryzen 9800X3D rescue AMD’s fortunes with Zen 5 chips? It’s looking like this might well be the case.

While not yet released, a benchmark leak suggests the upcoming Ryzen 7 9800X3D will have a big clock speed advantage over its non-X3D counterpart.
