Adam Sandler’s oafish pro golfer is back on screen for the first time in nearly 30 years, in a new movie that follows the titular Happy Gilmore as he attempts to get back in the game and raise his five kids after the death of wife Virginia (Julie Bowen) in a hurtling golf ball accident.

Happy Gilmore 2 is officially on Netflix — and it’s jam-packed with celebrity cameos. The much-anticipated sequel, which was released July 25, follows hot-tempered golfer Happy Gilmore’s (portrayed by Adam Sandler) return to the sport.

After much anticipation and a 29-year wait, Adam Sandler returned as the hot-tempered, big-hitting golf legend in “Happy Gilmore 2,” released on Netflix on Friday. As expected, the film was chock-full of cameos, many of them by real-life golfers and several of them with strong ties to the D-FW area.
