Five trends contributed to Kent State's loss Saturday to Bowling Green, which ended the winless Flashes' bowl eligibility.

Defensively, the Falcons still have one interception by Jacorey Benjamin. Edward Rhambo has the lone fumble recovery for the Falcons. Bowling Green has the second-=best passing defense (allowing 175.7 pass yards/game), and the third-worst rushing defense in the MAC (allowing 187.5 rush yards/game).

Kent State is looking for defensive improvement to get its first win Saturday in a Mid-American Conference game at Bowling Green.

Lambert cemented Kent State's first MAC championship in 1972 with a 29-tackle performance in the regular-season finale against Toledo. The 29 tackles remains a single-game school record as Kent State prevailed 27-9 and advanced to the Tangerine Bowl.
