CBS News Atlanta is tracking the chance for some snow or a mix of snow and sleet across Georgia by Sunday morning.
Snow fell across a wide stretch of central Georgia on Sunday, including in cities like Columbus, Macon, Milledgeville, Thomaston, Jackson, Eatonton and Greensboro.
MACON — For the second time in almost exactly a year, a mid-January snowstorm swept across Middle Georgia on Sunday as a wintertime jab of arctic air made itself felt — and seen. For many, the wintry scene was a welcome one in stretches of the Peach State, where snow is often rare as traffic jams.

Snow flurries moved through metro Atlanta into Central Georgia Sunday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory extends up as far as Henry and Newton counties in metro Atlanta and includes Clarke and Madison counties going east.
The state’s best chance for snow comes overnight Saturday into Sunday afternoon along a diagonal line from Columbus to Macon to Warrenton, the National Weather Service says.
