BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Former LSU star Angel Reese’s homecoming in the Chicago Sky’s WNBA exhibition opener was a smashing success. Reese had 15 points and 10 rebounds, helping the Sky to a rousing 89-62 victory over the Brazilian national team on Friday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Reese did a lot as a rookie, but as the Sky look to establish winning pillars for their future, they see a more versatile future for their star.

Angel Reese appears to be ready for the WNBA season. The Chicago Sky star was in midseason form on Friday, putting up 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 89-62 win over the Brazilian national team during a preseason matchup. Rookie Hailey Van Lith added seven points and five assists for Chicago off the bench, making a solid impact in the second half.
