Counsel to the president, Alina Habba, was criticized for "sympathizing" with Andrew, a far-right influencer accused of rape and human trafficking in Romania.

Romania allowed the travel after pressure from Trump officials, a person familiar with the case said. The brothers, vocal Trump supporters, were detained in 2022.
