West Ham United are finalising the departure of technical director Tim Steidten after confirming the appointment of Kyle Macaulay as the club’s head of recruitment.

West Ham United technical director Tim Steidten is set to leave the club, with the terms of his departure in the process of being finalised. Steidten was appointed in the summer of 2023 and made responsible for West Ham’s player recruitment strategy and scouting department.

Potter says it is yet to be decided if Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville will be available on Sunday, stating: "Bowen has had one or two sessions and we still need to assess him. It's still early - we have another day so we'll see. It's important that we don't rush him in. It's the same with Crysencio [Summerville]."

West Ham will be without a key defender for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa. Graham Potter takes his Hammers side back to Villa Park for the second time this month, having lost in the FA Cup third-round in his first game in charge.
