According to preliminary results, Democrat Mark Downey eked out a narrow victory, with a margin of about 3 percentage points separating him and Republican incumbent Chad Green.

Election Day is here in Virginia. At stake Tuesday is control of the top three statewide offices of governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general; the General Assembly’s House of Delegates; and constitutional offices in cities across the commonwealth. Results will update below.
