Phoenix Suns will have their fourth head coach in four seasons with hiring of Jordan Ott, most recently a Cavaliers assistant.

The Phoenix Suns named Jordan Ott as their new head coach on Friday following the sacking of Mike Budenholzer.The Suns head coaching job has been the hottest of hot seats in recent seasons, with Budenholzer dismissed in April after just a single season in charge.

Ott, 40, and fellow Cavs assistant Johnnie Bryant, were finalists for the position. The Cavs posted the NBA’s best record in the Eastern Conference at 64-18 with Ott and Bryant as assistants under Kenny Atkinson, the 2024-25 NBA Coach of the Year.
