Just one day after reports indicated that former Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was on the cusp of being named head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, a pair of former Jets head coaches, Robert Saleh and Pete Carroll, have also found new jobs.

Update: Jets are giving new head coach Aaron Glenn a five-year deal, per sources, contractually tying him to the organization through the 2029 season. Glenn will be under contract with the Jets through the 2029 season. That’s a solid contract length for a first-time head coach.

Glenn has been a name long tied to the Jets for their open head coaching role. He previously served as a scout for the team after a Pro Bowl-filled career with the Jets. Glenn has recently helped fix the Detroit Lions ' defense into one of the most fearsome in the league once again.
