Former Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson gifted a ring from the 2022 title to the surgeon who repaired his Achilles in a touching ceremony on Tuesday.

Thompson gave a 2022 Warriors championship ring to Dr. Richard Ferkel, the man who made his comeback possible from a second devastating leg injury.

The Dallas Mavericks guard showed his gratitude to the doctor who helped him return to the court following his Achilles injury in 2020.

Klay Thompson showed his gratitude in a big way by gifting his 2022 NBA Championship ring to a special recipient.

Thompson was shut out in the first half and finished with just 11 points—going 3 of 7 on three-pointers—in the Mavs’ 126-102 blowout defeat on the road against Golden State on Sunday night. It was by far his worst outing against the Warriors so far, though the five-time All-Star didn’t exactly hang his head afterward.
