An award-winning film director has visited one of the UK's oldest cinemas as part of the venue's ongoing fundraising efforts.

The Electric cinema in Birmingham city centre has closed. The cinema on Station Street - said to be the UK's oldest working cinema - reopened after the pandemic under new management in 2022.

The Electric in Birmingham is the UK’s oldest working cinema and is location on Station Street in Birmingham city centre. It is now home to sofas, a bar and waiter service.

THE PUBLIC is being invited to a month-long historical exhibition at the Harwich Electric Palace as well take part in a documentary film.
