Stopping at a toll booth will soon be a thing of the past on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Starting in 2025, the turnpike's eastern and northeastern extensions will begin using open-road tolling.

Portions of the Pennsylvania Turnpike including the Northeast Extension will employ Open Roll Tolling that does not require motorists to stop or slow down, starting in January 2025.
