On Tuesday night, CU moved up to No. 17 in the latest College Football Playoff selection committee rankings. The Buffs (7-2, 5-1 Big 12) moved up three spots from last week’s first CFP rankings. It is CU’s best CFP ranking since landing at No. 10 in the final rankings of 2016.

BYU was the unanimous top pick, receiving all 16 first-place votes from a panel of media who regularly cover the Big 12, and Colorado was second. The two teams are on a collision course to play in the Big 12 championship game on Dec. 7 in Arlington, Texas.

While everyone else on the field thought the play was over, Colorado’s Shilo Sanders didn’t hear a whistle, so he kept going.
