On Tuesday night, CU moved up to No. 17 in the latest College Football Playoff selection committee rankings. The Buffs (7-2, 5-1 Big 12) moved up three spots from last week’s first CFP rankings. It is CU’s best CFP ranking since landing at No. 10 in the final rankings of 2016.

While everyone else on the field thought the play was over, Colorado’s Shilo Sanders didn’t hear a whistle, so he kept going.

For Coach Prime and the Buffs, their path is incredibly simple: Win their final three regular-season games — vs. Utah, at Kansas (at Arrowhead Stadium) and vs. Oklahoma State — and they’ll be playing in the Big 12 Championship game on Dec. 7 in Arlington, Texas. From there, CU is 60 minutes away from a guaranteed spot in the playoff.
