Lanes were snarled in both directions while first responders worked to clear the scene and rescue those involved.

Multiple southbound lanes on Interstate 295 just before the Buckman Bridge in Jacksonville are currently closed Thursday due to a crash, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

The report from the Florida Highway Patrol says two separate motorcyclists, a 41-year-old and 32-year-old man from Jacksonville, were traveling southbound on I-295 around 1 p.m. when it happened.
