An avalanche near the India-China border resulted in four deaths and four missing workers. Rescue efforts, hindered by deep snow and harsh weather, retrieved bodies and saved 47 workers, while the search for the missing continues.

With today's rescue, 47 people out of the 55 trapped under the avalanche have been rescued. Efforts are underway to rescue the remaining eight.

Rescuers on Saturday morning resumed the search for trapped BRO workers in the high-altitude Mana village in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. PM Modi has taken stock of the situation.
