Speaking to IGN, Hoggatt revealed that Black Ops 6's version of Nuketown will be "the original Nuketown" but with better visuals. The Black Ops 6 series has featured all manner of different iterations of Black Ops 6 over the years--including a futuristic take from Black Ops III--but Black Ops 6 will go back to the map's roots.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is bringing back the original Nuketown, faithful to its original form, 14 years after Black Ops 1’s release.

There's also the new Nuketown-inspired Warzone map, Area 99, to look forward to, as well as the Warhead Gunfight map.

Treyarch confirmed the addition of Nuketown in Black Ops 6 with a post on X. “Bring your sunscreen,” the post is captioned. It also features an image shot from the perspective inside of a house on Nuketown, with a mannequin visible in frame. An explosion can be seen in the distance, potentially teasing the eponymous nuke.

Nuketown comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Nov. 1, 2024, just a few days after launch. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is slated to launch across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC on October 25, as well as being available in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Fan-favorite map Nuketown first appeared in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Black Ops 6 releases on October 25, period. It's been a tough pill to swallow for hardcore fans realizing that there isn't an early access period.

Black Ops 6 is coming out on October 25, and the game has leaned heavily on historical figures and the post-Cold War chaos in its marketing materials. It would be easy to think that such reliance on history was going somewhere.
