Several tornadoes reportedly touched down in western and central Wisconsin on May 15 as a storm brought "significant damage" to Dodge County.

On average, Wisconsin gets 23 tornadoes a year, according to the weather service. Last year, however, brought 45 — the third highest number of documented tornados in the state, behind 2005 (63) and 2010 (46). Heeren can't predict what this season will bring.
