Four employees of the Taiwanese contract manufacturer that makes the Apple iPhone are in detention in China, Taiwanese authorities said Friday.

China's Taiwan Affairs Office, in a statement to Reuters, said the Foxconn employees are suspected of crimes including taking bribes and embezzlement and the investigation is ongoing. It did not state how many employees were being investigated.

Taiwan’s government said that they had been accused of a breach of trust, but that their employer, Foxconn, had denied the company suffered any losses.
