The wildfire that scorched roughly 130 acres in Douglas County, including 20 acres inside Chatfield State Park, is fully contained, sheriff’s officials announced Tuesday.

After several lightning strikes set parts of western Colorado aflame two weeks ago, five wildfires have consumed 42,431 acres as incident management teams make headway on containment.

Colorado firefighters have continued making progress as they battle several large wildfires burning across the western part of the state.
