A report says Samsung is looking to launch open-ear wireless earphones to join its growing Galaxy Buds collection.

Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Fold 7 sometime in July, and it appears as though the phone won’t be the only thing Samsung is bringing along to the party. Rumors suggest that they’ll also be debuting a pair of bone conduction headphones.

Samsung's headphones have failed to set the world alight, but now the brand could be taking a different tack. According to one leak, the firm will release its first pair of bone conduction headphones this summer.

The information comes from prolific tipster Ice Universe, who claims that the rumored device will feature an Open Wireless Stereo design, unlike the Galaxy Buds. This

Industry insiders just claimed that Samsung could announce its first ever open-air bone conducting audio device at the Samsung Unpacked event in July.

Samsung is reportedly planning to launch bone-conduction headphones alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.

The brand also showcased a slim phone called the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge at that event, which is slated to be launched in the coming months. There's also word of a new foldable phone called the Samsung Galaxy G Fold launching later in the summer.

However, its Galaxy Buds tend to be quite popular among both Galaxy device users and the general public. Its latest releases in the segment are the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. That said, Samsung could surprise this year by announcing open-ear bone conduction earphones.

Samsung is well known for trying new things in the earbuds space. There where the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live for one, those shiny bean shaped things that neither sounded good nor fitted very well. Now there're rumblings that the firm wants to try a different form of uninvasive audio on your head — bone conduction headphones.
