Honda is recalling hundreds of thousands of vehicles featuring brake pedals that might not be properly secured.

Honda is recalling more than 259,000 of its cars across the U.S. due to a problem that can cause the brake pedal to shift out of position, potentially interfering with a driver’s ability to stop or slow down.

Honda issued a recall of nearly 260,000 top-selling vehicles over a possible brake defect. According to Reuters, citing the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall was initiated over a faulty brake pedal that can potentially shift out of position and hinder the ability to brake, which increases the risk of a crash.
