After a one-year hiatus, UConn and South Carolina will renew their rivalry next season on Nov. 24, 2026 in the 2026 Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets go on sale in September 2026.

Seven UConn players have won the Wade Trophy as national player of the year, including Paige Bueckers in 2025.

South Carolina entered the 2024-25 season on a four-game winning streak against UConn, but they finished losing two straight. The Gamecocks lost to the Huskies and coach Geno Auriemma in Colonial Life Arena during the regular season and then again in the 2025 national championship game in Tampa.

UConn is 11-5 all-time against the Gamecocks, including defeating them in the 2025 national championship game.
