With Liam Ohgren in the NHL now with the Minnesota Wild, Brendan Gaunce will represent the Iowa Wild in the upcoming AHL All-Star game. Ohgren, 21, was the Wild's 19th overall pick from the 2022 NHL Draft.

On Sunday, the Minnesota Wild announced that exciting prospect Liam Öhgren would return to the lineup from his stint in Iowa. The most inspiring part of the news? Öhgren was going to get an opportunity in the team’s top six.

He ended the game in the top six playing with Eriksson Ek and Kaprizov. The Wild's 2022 19th overall pick was rewarded in a game where he played great in. He now will start the game on Saturday against the Flames in a top-six role.
