In his parts of three seasons coaching for Auburn, Hugh Freeze never beat Alabama football. Freeze was fired as the Tigers' football coach Sunday, Nov. 2, after joining the team in 2023. He finished with a 15-19 record overall, while Auburn posted a 6-16 record in SEC play under his tutelage.

Hugh Freeze’s love of golf may not have been the reason he was shown the door at Auburn, but the football coach’s love for the links didn’t help his cause either.
