Today the average price of gas in Georgia (as of the publication date) is $2.78, which is well below the national average of $3.06. Prices have been trending down recently, with last year’s price at $2.94 and even as recently as last month at $2.91

ATLANTA, GA / ACCESS Newswire / October 28, 2025 / GeorgiaGasSavings.com , a competitive energy shopping and consumer advocacy website, announced their annual rankings of natural gas providers in the state of Georgia.

The national average for regular unleaded gasoline is currently $3.05 per gallon, which is 8 cents lower than this time last year. As fall travel slows and fewer road trips are taken, gasoline demand typically dips, helping to keep prices in check.

Gas prices in states surrounding Georgia are lower except for Florida ($2.91). Tennessee's median cost is $2.62 a gallon, Alabama is $2.65, South Carolina is $2.72 and North Carolina is $2.76. Georgians who drive electric vehicles will see no change at charging stations, AAA said. The price remains 36 cents per kilowatt hour.
