UTICA, N.Y. -- The 11th annual Flags for Heroes campaign is underway in Utica. Setup began Tuesday morning along the Memorial Parkway, where 1,000 full-size American flags will be displayed. The Good News Center organizes this event to raise money for Sitrin's military rehabilitation program.

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Cameron University is honoring Veterans by filling the campus with American flags. The final number of flags placed totals over 7,000. Residents of southwest Oklahoma are invited to visit Cameron to pay homage to America’s military and its patriotism while the flags are on display.

Venezuela accused Trinidad and Tobago and the US of a "military provocation" and claimed a CIA-backed false flag attack, amid joint Caribbean exercises and the docking of USS Gravely near Venezuelan waters.

American flags are flying along Utica’s Memorial Parkway and while it is a sight to see, the flags also serve a purpose for local Veterans.
