Celebrities flocked to Washington, D.C., in celebration of Donald Trump's presidential inauguration on Jan. 20.

President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Sylvester Stallone, Jon Voight, and Mel Gibson as “Special Ambassadors to Hollywood” to restore Americas film industry. Announced at Trumps “Victory Rally,” the trio will lead efforts to revitalize Hollywoods global standing.

Stallone, Voight, and Gibson have each come out in support of Trump in recent years. Stallone even called him the “second George Washington,” while Voight proclaimed him to be the “greatest president since Lincoln.” And Gibson, who happens to have a long history of antisemitism and racism, said Kamala Harris had the “IQ of a fence post.”

It's "all going to end" tomorrow, he says, adding that on Monday Trump will sign an executive order "ending the border invasion, sending the illegals home and taking America back", to loud cheers from the crowd. He ends by saying the American people "won" and "still control this country" to more loud cheers and screams.

Trump on Thursday announced on his Truth Social platform that the trio will be “special envoys” and his “eyes and ears” in Tinseltown in a bid to boost the U.S. movie industry, which he claimed “has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries.” Critics, though, scorned and mocked the news.

Voight has long been an ally of Trump and an outspoken conservative in Hollywood. Gibson, like Trump, has spent the last week floating conspiracy theories about the wildfires in Los Angeles Stallone was initially on the fence about Trump but has seemingly warmed to the president-elect, having introduced him at a Mar-a-Lago gala late last year.

The president-elect says the envoys will bring foreign business back to Hollywood but it's unclear what their roles will involve.
