Some residents in Monroe, Chickasaw and Clay counties will go to the polls on Nov. 4 to vote in a special legislative election.

Absentee voting has begun for several special legislative elections in Mississippi, which have the potential to add more Democratic seats in a state controlled by Republicans.

Saturday in-person absentee voting will begin on October 25, 2025, in Mississippi. According to the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office, Circuit Clerk’s Offices will be open from 8:00 a.m. until noon for in-person absentee voting for the November 4 elections.
