The Minnesota Wild have turned the page to the new year. Despite their injuries, they have found a way to keep the New Year's celebration going by remaining undefeated in 2025. They’ve done so after losing seven games in December and Joel Eriksson Ek to injury.

In December, Wild fans were pining for the return of Mats Zuccarello and Joel Eriksson Ek from injury, and now one can understand why. On Saturday night in Carolina, Zuccarello scored twice and set up Eriksson Ek for another goal as the Wild swept their two-game road swing, beating the Hurricanes 4-0.

Eriksson Ek scored a power-play goal on five shots and added four PIM in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Hurricanes.

For the first time in 2025, the Hurricanes are home at the Lenovo Center in their first-season matchup against the Central Division's Wild.

Mats Zuccarello scored two goals, including an empty netter, and Filip Gustavsson made 20 saves as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-0 on Saturday night in Raleigh, N.C.

The Wild knew they would have a tough test against the Hurricanes but found a way to be successful on special teams and come out with the win.

Rossi has eight points (three goals, five assists) in a three-game point streak for the Wild, who have been without leading scorer Kirill Kaprizov the past five games because of a lower-body injury.
