Aurora Police Department Chief Todd Chamberlain held a press conference Thursday to further clarify the timeline and statements made about two detainees who escaped from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody Tuesday.

Gonzalez, was taken into custody by the Adams County Sheriff's Office early Friday morning and transferred into ICE custody shortly after. Aurora Police Chief Todd Chamberlain recently talked about the response time of officers after it was discovered that two men had escaped the Immigration and Customs Enforcement GEO facility earlier this week.

ICE took more than four hours to call Aurora Police about the escape from the facility, run by a company called GEO.
