WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) — Mark Scheifele scored at 1:51 of overtime to give the Presidents' Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night in their regular-season finale. The Jets finished at 56-22-4 to set a franchise record with 116 points.

While the Presidents' Trophy is a tremendous feat, it's no indication of success in the playoffs. The last time a Presidents' Trophy winner went on to win a Stanley Cup was in 2013 when the Chicago Blackhawks did it. The Jets will look to snap the recent cold streak for Presidents' Trophy winners.

Corey Perry finished with a goal and an assist to help lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-1 road victory Sunday over the first-place Winnipeg Jets, who despite the loss secured their first Presidents' Trophy in franchise history.
