Behind a monster 27-point, 24-rebound performance from Rudy Gobert, Minnesota won 103-96 on the road to end the series in just five games.

The Los Angeles Lakers were projected to compete for the championship this year after acquiring Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks in February. However, the Lakers lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round despite having Doncic and LeBron James.

Entering the playoffs, more money had been wagered on the Lakers to win the Finals than on any other team at multiple sportsbooks. That money will be staying with the house.
