A trade pitch from USA Today has the New York Mets landing Garrett Crochet and Luis Robert Jr. in a blockbuster deal with the White Sox.

As the hot stove heats up this offseason, the New York Yankees are expected to be an aggressive team throughout the winter. Adding to the third base position is a massive need for New York considering the decline of DJ LeMahieu and the likelihood of Jazz Chisholm moving back to second base.

Among the teams that are in on White Sox All-Star starter Garrett Crochet are the New York Mets, per Jon Heyman.  This shouldn't be even remotely surprising. The Mets are looking to keep their momentum going after making a run to the NLCS and having seen a big portion of their rotation hit free agency.

The White Sox could be looking to trade LHP Garrett Crochet this offseason and the Mets are reportedly one of a few teams looking into it.

The same thing with the ex-Brewer Adames, who, reports indicate would be open to moving to third base from shortstop. He and Bregman both had a 118 OPS+ last season and they are well-rounded players, good hitters and defenders.

Every expectation this coming offseason is that the Mets will be one of the heaviest suitors for free agent right fielder Juan Soto. Sure enough, Mets owner Steve Cohen is headed to California next week to meet with Soto and his agent,

Mets outfielder Tyrone Taylor had a pair of operations and should be ready for spring training in mid-February.

Tyrone Taylor, who will turn 31 in January, served as a backup outfielder for most of his first season with the Mets before taking on a bigger role in the postseason.
