SAN FRANCISCO] Meta Platforms has made unusually high compensation offers to new members of its “superintelligence” team – including a more than US$200 million package for a former Apple distinguished engineer.

Ruoming Pang previously worked for Google where he led impactful projects that went on to become integral to the search giant’s operations.

Meta Platforms has reportedly offered a more than $200 million pay package to poach Apple’s top executive in charge of artificial intelligence models, as the Facebook parent builds up its new “Superintelligence” AI division.
