President Donald Trump personally pushed lawmakers to back his bill for major tax cuts during a visit to Capitol Hill. Trump’s visit comes as some Republicans — including Freedom Caucus members who don’t think the cuts are big enough as well as moderates who want a bigger tax deduction for wealthy homeowners — refuse to support the bill.

Republican Senators Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Rand Paul of Kentucky leaned into their criticism of President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill," which narrowly passed the House last week, during Sunday morning TV interviews.
