Google is adding a dedicated button for adding events and meetings from any email to Google Calendar, without any work. Gemini AI can analyze your email and offer up ways to add events to your calendar with a press of a button.

Google has announced a new AI feature that uses Gemini AI bot to add events to your Google Calendar based on emailed details in Gmail. Emails that Gemini thinks describe events will get a new “Add to Calendar button” that starts the interaction.

Gemini will automatically detect calendar-related content in an email and present an “Add to calendar” button. After clicking the button, the side panel in Gmail will open to confirm the event has been added to the calendar.
