The Atlanta Falcons are entering their fifth draft under general manager Terry Fontenot, but for the first time in five years, they don't have a top-10 pick. The team has mostly hit on its first-round picks since Fontenot took over in 2021. Even former No. 4 pick Kyle Pitts had the best rookie season by a tight end in 60 years.

According to Over the Cap 's projections, the Falcons have just under $10 million in salary cap space ($9.89 million) less than a week from Day 1 of the draft. The team was in much worse shape before extending Jake Matthews and restructuring with Chris Lindstrom and A.J. Terrell.
