Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson reported that as of Monday, the Statewide Election Management System reported a total of 86,525 absentee ballots had been requested in the state. The requested total reflects the number of Mississippi voters who have requested an absentee ballot through their local Circuit Clerk’s office.

General Election absentee ballots returned by mail must be received by the voter’s local clerk by 5 p.m. on election day.

Michigan voters who haven't returned their absentee ballots yet need to get them in the mail soon to make sure they arrive by election day.

Iowa elections officials sent and received thousands of absentee ballots on the first day of in-person early voting.
